UNITED NATIONS OFFICE ON DRUGS AND CRIME (UNODC)
Limak Atlantis Deluxe Resort & Hotel • March 2-6, 2020

United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) was established in 1997, with its headquarters located in the UN Office in Vienna, to strive to create a world that is safe from the effects of the production and trafficking of drugs, corruption, various forms of organized crime, human trafficking, and terrorism. For over twenty years, UNODC has tackled numerous issues and assisted different UN bodies in eliminating the effects of these threats. UNODC also promotes peace and sustainability as it is committed to supporting the Member States in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals. Practical assistance and transnational approaches to action are encouraged by UNODC as well. Scope of the problems can often be extensive for states to pursue alone. The Office works in all regions, through global programmes and network of field offices, towards cooperation with states who need assistance. The goals of UNODC are to be accomplished through three primary functions: research, guidance, and support to governments in the adoption and implementation of various crime- and drug-related conventions, treaties, and protocols, as well as technical and financial assistance to governments.
