Following its formation with the Washington Treaty in 1949, North Atlantic Treaty Organization remained one of the most influential international organizations to this day. It played crucial roles in solving many conflicts since the end of the Second World War such as the Bosnia War and eradication of Taliban and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
Today NATO still have not fulfilled its mandate of preserving international peace and security. As the Secretary-General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg stated “North Africa and the Middle East are also in turmoil. States are breaking up and conflict is at our borders. Extremism is fuelling barbaric violence across the region and inspiring terrorism on our own streets.” Therefore, NATO holds its position as the one of the leading international organisms in our time.
North Atlantic Treaty Organization is suitable for highly experienced delegates. For inquiries participants can contact the Responsible Under-Secretary-General Mr. Berk Furkan Kocatepe via: firstname.lastname@example.org.
